Screenshots that keep your secrets

Capture any area of your Mac screen, mark it up, and cover emails, keys and card numbers so they can’t be recovered.

Coming soon to the Mac App Store. One-time purchase, no subscription. Requires macOS 14 or later.

The Mosaicshot editor showing a terminal screenshot: a password covered with a solid block, an API key pixelated and an email blurred, with numbered markers, a green box and an arrow.

What you can do

Hidden means hidden

Many tools lay a blur on top of your image. Mosaicshot paints the redaction into the pixels of the file it exports, so the original pixels of that area are simply not in it.

Pixelate and blur keep only a few coarse, noise-shifted blocks, sized to resist depixelation tools. For the most sensitive data, use a solid block: it keeps nothing at all.
